CAMCO and the Ministry of Technology and Science Signed a Letter of Intent

On July 21, 2022, CAMCO and the Ministry of Technology and Science signed a letter of intent at CAMCO Head Office in Lusaka. The event was graced by Hon. Felix Mutati Minister of Technology and Science. The Letter of Intent is aimed at cooperating in agricultural mechanization and youth training. Mr. Alex Simumba Director of the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training, TEVET of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Zambia, and principals from more than 40 vocational and technical colleges in Zambia attended the event. Mr. Xu Jiadong, General Manager of Camco Equipment (Zambia) Ltd., Mr. Bernard Chiwala, Marketing Director, Mr. George Mulenga, Director of HR & Admin, Manager, Mr. Herman Habasimbi HR & Admin Manager participated in hosting the delegates.


Mr. Felix Mutati, Minister of Science and Technology of Zambia, said he was looking forward to cooperating with Camco to jointly promote the development of vocational and technical education in Zambia and the development of agricultural mechanization in Zambia. “The Ministry of Science and Technology will give more support Camco to cultivate technical talents and provide more employment opportunities for Zambian youth” he stressed.


Mr. George Mulenga, Director of HR and Admin of Camco said that Camco College provides technical training on mechanical operation, repair and maintenance for Zambian youth. Camco College and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Zambia have laid a good foundation for cooperation in agricultural mechanization cooperation and personnel training.


Camco team accompanied the Minister and the Principals of the TEVET colleges to visit the Camco showroom. The Director of TEVET Mr Simumba took time to get first hand experience on newly introduced Lima electric motorcycles of Camco Motor.
