On 19 October 2026 Zambian time, the third Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka (ZAMII 2026) officially opened at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. Under the theme “Reshaping Africa’s Mining Development Landscape: Building Regional Value Chains, Promoting Shared Prosperity, and Empowering Local Communities,” the conference convened discussions on core issues including in-country mineral value addition, regional industrial chain coordination, mining infrastructure support, and green sustainable development, with the aim of advancing the implementation of Zambia’s strategy to achieve 3 million tonnes of refined copper by 2031.

The Camco Group management team attended the event, engaging deeply in core agenda items including high-level dialogues and the mining company CEO roundtable, and conducting multi-dimensional communication and coordination with Zambian government officials, industry partners, and investment institutions to seize development opportunities arising from the transformation of Southern Africa’s critical minerals industry. Mr. Chen Qian, Operations Director of CAMCO MINING (ZAMBIA) LTD., participated in the event and held a face-to-face exchange with Dr. Hapenga Kabeta, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development of Zambia, during which he introduced the progress and plans of the Group’s mining projects in Zambia. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including Zambia’s mining investment policies, in-country mineral value addition, business environment optimization, and local industrial cooperation, identifying entry points and implementation pathways for subsequent practical engagement.

Several of the Group’s locally incorporated Zambian subsidiaries exhibited concurrently, with the mining, mechanical equipment, and automotive new energy business segments appearing together to comprehensively demonstrate the Group’s diversified and integrated business strengths. Among them, Camco Equipment (Zambia) Ltd,. was present at the exhibition, leveraging the conference’s industry clustering effect to fully showcase the capabilities of the mechanical equipment segment and actively explore cooperation opportunities in mine production and mining infrastructure.

Camco Motors (Zambia) Ltd., a subsidiary of the Group, also set up a dedicated booth, displaying the Dongfeng VIGO new energy vehicle and Jingneng charging equipment, and presenting an integrated green transport solution tailored to mining scenarios, covering “vehicles + charging + after-sales service”.

During the exhibition tour, Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema visited the booth in person, and Mr. Jito Kayumba, Special Assistant to the President for Finance and Investment, also visited the site to gain a detailed understanding of the practical application value of new energy products in scenarios including mine commuting, engineering transport, and official travel.

Han Jing, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, also visited the Group’s booth and held a cordial discussion with Liu Qingcheng, General Manager of Camco Motors. Liu Qingcheng briefed the Ambassador on Camco Motors’ new energy business layout, product deployment progress, and market advancement in Zambia.

Ambassador Han Jing affirmed the company’s practice of rooting itself in the local market and supporting Zambia’s green transport transition, and encouraged the company to seize development opportunities and continue to deepen practical China–Zambia economic and trade cooperation.

The Group’s participation as a delegation at this event actively responds to the conference’s development philosophy of building an African regional mining value chain, promoting resource value addition, and practicing green development and community shared prosperity. As Zambia’s 3-million-tonne refined copper strategy steadily advances, Africa’s critical minerals industry is presented with development opportunities, and the Group’s various business segments are working in coordination to seize the market window. The Group will further deepen its communication and connections with Zambia’s political and business circles, give play to its multi-business synergy advantages, support local industrial upgrading through practical cooperation, and continue to write a new chapter of mutually beneficial and win-win China–Zambia economic and trade relations.
