From July 29 to August 3, 2026, the 98th Lusaka Agricultural and Commercial Show (ACSZ) concluded successfully at the Lusaka Showgrounds. As one of the most influential comprehensive economic and trade exhibitions in Southern Africa, this year's event was held under the theme "Fostering Trade and Investment," attracting over 1,100 enterprises from 18 countries and more than 260,000 total visitors. Camco Group participated with its two subsidiaries – Camco Equipment (Zambia) Ltd. and Camco Motors (Zambia) Ltd. – jointly showcasing agricultural machinery, engineering equipment, and new energy vehicle (NEV) solutions tailored to local market demands.
At the opening ceremony, a representative of the President of Zambia delivered a keynote address. He emphasized that agriculture remains the pillar of the national economy, and that the government will continue to optimize agricultural financing channels, promote agricultural mechanization, and expand export routes for agricultural products to support the upgrading of the entire agricultural value chain. He also acknowledged the contributions of participating enterprises in safeguarding food security and creating local employment, specifically commending Camco Machinery's deep-rooted presence in the local agricultural machinery market and its efforts to help farmers modernize their operations.
During the exhibition, government officials and industry leaders visited the Group's two pavilions for inspections and exchanges on agricultural machinery and new energy vehicles respectively.
Patrick Kangwa, Secretary to the Cabinet, led a delegation from the Public Service Management Division and the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment to tour the automotive pavilion. They watched live demonstrations of NEVs and inquired in detail about vehicle performance, after-sales maintenance, and supporting charging infrastructure plans. Mr. Kangwa stated that Zambia is advancing its green economy transition and low-carbon transformation of public transportation, and that the Chinese NEVs introduced by Camco Group are economical, durable, and feature outstanding intelligent capabilities – highly aligned with the country's energy conservation, emission reduction, and infrastructure upgrading goals. He expressed expectations for deepened collaboration to promote the nationwide deployment of NEVs and charging networks.
Kang Shuai, General Manager of FAW, also visited the automotive pavilion with his delegation. They assessed market potential based on the current state of Zambia's agriculture, infrastructure, and logistics sectors, and recognized Camco Motors' market strategy of promoting proprietary brand commercial vehicles and NEV models through the exhibition platform. Numerous farm owners, logistics operators, and local residents actively experienced the vehicles on site, praising the stable quality and high cost-performance ratio of Chinese-made products.
Li Tie, Chairman of Camco Group and President of CCCZ, made a full tour of both the machinery and automotive pavilions throughout the event. He inspected each exhibit – including tractors, pumping and power generation equipment, engineering machinery, and NEVs – and engaged in face-to-face conversations with frontline staff, partner dealers, and farm and logistics customers. Based on on-site market feedback, he provided strategic guidance for the Group's localized operations.
Over the six-day exhibition period, the two pavilions delivered a comprehensive presentation through static equipment displays, live NEV demonstrations, and one-on-one tailored solution briefings – showcasing a full range of equipment covering agricultural planting, engineering and mining, and green mobility for daily life. This participation further solidified the market reputation of the Group's machinery and automotive divisions in Zambia, and established a regular, high-efficiency communication bridge between Chinese equipment manufacturers and the Zambian government and end customers.
