On April 2, 2026, Dou Bingjie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Weifang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, along with his delegation, visited Camco Machinery & Equipment (Shandong) Ltd., a subsidiary of Camco Group. He held in-depth talks with Li Tie, Chairman of the Group, on topics such as facilitating Weifang enterprises to "go global" and expanding into the African market.
Chairman Li Tie extended a warm welcome to Chairman Dou and his delegation, and provided a detailed introduction to Camco Group's development history and its domestic and international business footprint. As the President of the CCCZ, Chairman Li Tie highlighted the Group's achievements in the African market, covering sectors such as agricultural equipment, automotive trade, construction machinery, and general trading. He emphasized that leveraging over two decades of overseas operational experience, the Group has built a mature local team, a well-established logistics network, and extensive commercial channels, establishing a strong brand presence in the African market and serving as a solid bridge for China-Zambia economic and trade cooperation.

Chairman Li Tie stated that Camco Group is fully prepared to leverage its resource advantages in the African market to provide comprehensive support and facilitate Weifang enterprises in their market expansion into Africa. The Group is ready to share its mature local team and management expertise, assisting with challenges such as language barriers, cultural differences, and policy interpretation. Furthermore, through the platform of the CCCZ, it can connect with local government departments, industry associations, partners, and end customers. Drawing on its many years of overseas operational experience, the Group can also provide risk assessment and prevention advice for the African market to help ensure investment security. "Weifang is a powerhouse in manufacturing, home to numerous high-quality enterprises and products that align well with the needs of the African market," emphasized Chairman Li Tie. "Camco Group aspires to act as a 'bridgehead' and a 'service station' for Weifang enterprises expanding into Africa, helping more 'Made in Weifang' products reach and shine in Africa."
Chairman Dou spoke highly of Camco Group’s achievements in the African market and commended Chairman Li Tie's dedication to supporting the development of enterprises from his hometown. He noted that the Weifang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese regards facilitating enterprises to "go global" as a key priority and is actively advancing the "Overseas Chinese Assist Thousands of Enterprises and Products to Go Global" initiative, aiming to establish platforms and provide support for Weifang enterprises to explore international markets. Chairman Dou said that the Weifang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese will leverage its extensive networks and abundant resources to support Camco Group’s development in Africa in multiple ways: by utilizing the Federation’s global overseas Chinese business networks and connections to recommend high-quality strategic partners to help the Group further expand its footprint in the African market; by promoting Camco Group’s service capabilities to Weifang-based enterprises interested in expanding into the African market and organizing business exchange activities to facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation; and by promptly relaying the latest national and local policies regarding the "Belt and Road" initiative and China-Africa economic and trade cooperation to help the Group seize development opportunities.
At the conclusion of the talks, both parties agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism, strengthen information sharing and resource integration, and jointly promote deeper and broader economic and trade cooperation between Weifang and Africa.
