CAMCO EQUIPMENT (ZAMBIA) LTD. made a strong‌ impression at the 2025 Nakuru Agricultural Society of Kenya (A.S.K.) National Show, earning the top award for Best Stand Exhibiting Agricultural and Earthmoving Equipment. Held from July 2nd to 6th at the Nakuru Showground, the event drew thousands of farmers, students, and professionals eager to learn about the latest agricultural technologies.

CAMCO’s display featured a wide range of modern farming machinery, including LOVOL tractors of various horsepower, LOVOL combine harvesters, WEICHAI generators, water pumps, and oil expellers. The stand attracted a steady flow of visitors throughout the five-day show. Farmers engaged deeply with CAMCO representatives, asking practical questions about machinery efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Businesspeople explored potential partnerships, while students marveled at the scale and innovation on display—many seeing such equipment for the first time.

The company’s presence was further elevated by high-profile visits from senior government officials, including Hon. Bor (CEC Agriculture, Nakuru County), Hon. Magara (CEC Agriculture, Kericho County), and Nakuru County Commissioner Hon. Loyford. Their presence underscored the importance of agricultural mechanization in regional development and food security. These engagements offered a platform for CAMCO to understand policy directions and contribute directly to discussions on advancing agriculture in Kenya.

The show’s official opening was presided over by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, who reinforced the government’s commitment to transforming agriculture. “We aim to empower farmers through policy, legal, institutional, and regulatory reforms,” he stated. “Our goal is to put more money in farmers’ pockets.” This message aligned closely with CAMCO’s vision: to provide practical, innovative machinery that drives productivity and uplifts the lives of Kenyan farmers.

CAMCO’s recognition as the top exhibitor came as no surprise to many visitors. The Nakuru branch team, led by Branch Manager Mr. Amos Wekesa, meticulously organized the machinery layout to create a welcoming and informative space. This thoughtful presentation allowed guests to explore each machine’s functionality and suitability for real-life farming operations. The award trophy was presented by Kenya’s Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe in front of media and showgoers, symbolizing national appreciation for CAMCO’s role in agricultural development.

Beyond the award, the company’s success was measured by the enthusiastic response from visitors. Many expressed intent to visit CAMCO branches in Nairobi, Nakuru, Eldoret, and Kisumu to explore products further. The LOVOL tractors, in particular, garnered strong interest for their durability, modern features, and affordability—qualities that have made them increasingly popular across Kenya’s farming regions.
