To alleviate the work and life pressures faced by expatriate staff, strengthen their psychological resilience, and guide overseas employees to navigate workplace challenges with a positive mindset while deepening their presence in the African market, Camco Group's Zambia headquarters successfully hosted a Character Development Exchange for expatriate staff on July 6. Themed "Striving with Virtue, Embracing Happiness with Heart," the event featured Mr. Zhang Guhuai, founder of Guangsu Culture, as the keynote speaker. Employees from various business units—including automotive, machinery, farming, and the training college—gathered together to engage in a special exchange on mental and character growth, integrating corporate culture with their overseas work experiences.

Mr. Zhang Guhuai has dedicated over three decades to the integration of traditional Eastern culture and modern corporate management, with a particular expertise in bridging the inherent connection between business operations and personal growth from the perspective of character development. His presentation, centered on the theme "Cultivating Happiness from Within," addressed the real-life scenarios of Camco's expatriate staff—far from home, long-rooted overseas, and confronting a wide range of work challenges. Through accessible reasoning and authentic case studies, he delivered a session that was both healing and enlightening.

During the lecture, Mr. Zhang pointed out that the ultimate goal of striving is inner fulfillment and lasting happiness. He emphasized that happiness does not depend on changes in external circumstances, but originates from inner cultivation. Excessive attachment, comparison, and resistance to adversity are the root causes of self-inflicted distress. Only by calmly accepting one's situation, actively transforming challenges, cultivating virtue, and calming the mind can one grow through perseverance and transform through trials. He also offered an in-depth interpretation of the core value of "virtue" (De), explaining that nurturing virtue to achieve prosperity and establishing oneself on the foundation of virtue are essential for personal stability and long-term success, as well as for the enduring prosperity of an enterprise—a philosophy that aligns closely with Camco Group's development principles.

In the interactive Q&A session, employees from various business units openly shared their workplace challenges and mental hurdles based on their overseas work experiences. Mr. Zhang provided targeted guidance, encouraging everyone to move beyond utilitarian thinking of gains and losses, learn to look inward, and practice self-empowerment. He advised them to approach work challenges with an open and magnanimous mindset, maintain team harmony, and use a stable and fulfilled inner state to withstand the fatigue and anxiety of overseas life, while growing through steady accumulation and staying true to their original aspirations in their respective roles.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Li Tie, Chairman of the Group, delivered a closing address. He first expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Zhang Guhuai for his insightful and dedicated sharing. He then delved into the profound cultural essence and developmental foundation embedded in the Group's brand name, "Camco" (De Yuan). He noted that "De" (Virtue) is the soul of the enterprise and the foundation of its prosperity—the very bedrock upon which the company's long-term stability rests. The Group consistently upholds the principle of "virtue that sustains all things": internally, it cares for and supports every expatriate employee, safeguarding their growth and development; externally, it adheres to integrity-driven operations and pragmatic execution, treating every client and partner with sincerity. "Yuan" (Origin) represents the original aspiration and the foundation of the enterprise, carrying the Group's initial commitment to root itself in Africa, pursue practical endeavors, and deepen Sino-African cooperation. It embodies the Group's long-term vision to deeply cultivate the African market and become a respected enterprise widely recognized by both Chinese and African people, while contributing to Africa's development.

The lecture was profound and impactful, leaving all participating employees deeply inspired. After the event, many shared their sincere reflections and deep thoughts, drawing on the lecture content and their years of overseas experience.

The overseas head of the Group's automotive division shared his reflections on overseas operations and team management. He noted that the overseas market is highly competitive, the business environment complex, and cross-cultural management poses numerous challenges. Long-term enterprise development relies not only on professional capabilities and market opportunities but also on the spiritual guidance and moral support provided by corporate culture. Mr. Zhang's insight—"Ability determines how fast you go; virtue determines how far you go"—resonated deeply with him. He affirmed that Camco Motors will continue to uphold the Group's core values and business philosophy, empowering operations with virtue and uniting the team through culture. By deeply integrating cultural development with business growth, focusing on customer value, and caring for employee development, the company will continue to cultivate the Zambian automotive market and help Chinese automotive brands establish a stable presence in Africa.

The Marketing Director of Camco Motors also shared his heartfelt and unpretentious overseas experience. He candidly admitted that while the hardships of life and work pressures in Africa can be overcome, the greatest challenge is the longing for and guilt toward family members far away—this persistent yearning is the deepest emotional burden for overseas strivers. In the past, he was so consumed by work that he rarely paused to reflect on the meaning of happiness and often struggled with negative emotions. Through this session, he gained clarity, deeply realizing that perseverance overseas is itself a form of self-cultivation. He learned to accept his circumstances, let go of attachments, and cultivate his character while finding peace in adversity. Moving forward, he will carry gratitude, cherish the present, and remain steadfast in his role with a calm and open mind.

All expatriate employees expressed that the event not only helped them understand the cultural original aspiration of Camco Group but also taught them practical ways to regulate their mindset, accept adversity, and perceive happiness. They affirmed their commitment to upholding the Group's cultural foundation, staying true to their striving spirit, maintaining a positive attitude, and deeply rooting themselves in the African soil with dedication and responsibility. They will face challenges with a positive character, excel in their roles with professional competence, and continue contributing to the Group's high-quality overseas development and the deepening of Sino-African cooperation.
