On the afternoon of November 13, 2025, Mr. Li Tie, Chairman of CAMCO Group, led a core delegation to the School of Economics and Trade at Hunan University for an exchange event on university-enterprise cooperation. The meeting was attended by Professor Xu Helian, Standing Committee Member of the University Party Committee, Assistant to the President, and Director of the Africa Research Institute; Deng Lihua, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Trade; Li Man, Deputy Party Secretary of the School; Professor Fan Zijie from the Africa Research Institute; and other school leaders and experts. Both sides engaged in practical and in-depth discussions centered on key topics such as collaborative talent development between universities and enterprises and the integration of industry, academia, and research, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
During the event, Deputy Party Secretary Li Man accompanied Chairman Li Tie and his delegation on a campus tour, providing a detailed introduction to Hunan University's educational profile, as well as the historical evolution, program offerings, and disciplinary development of the School of Economics and Trade. This allowed the visiting delegation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the School's strengths and distinctive features.

At the formal meeting held in the conference room of the School of Economics and Trade, Professor Xu Helian attended to provide guidance. At the meeting, Party Secretary Deng Lihua systematically elaborated on the School's notable achievements in areas such as its history, disciplinary characteristics, talent cultivation, scientific research, and graduate employment. Professor Fan Zijie focused on the development strategy of the Africa Research Institute, providing an in-depth interpretation of the current core directions and key areas in African studies.
Chairman Li Tie shared CAMCO Group's practical experience gained from years of deep involvement in Africa, covering the Group's development history, industrial layout, and core competitive advantages. He proposed collaboration initiatives focused on university-enterprise synergistic innovation and jointly cultivating international talent, which received positive responses from all parties at the School. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on key directions such as the construction of joint scientific research platforms and pathways for cultivating international talent, ultimately reaching preliminary consensus on project cooperation implementation and sharing high-quality resources.

Following the talks, Chairman Li Tie delivered a thematic report titled "Africa – The New Engine of the Future World and a New Stage for Chinese Youth" in Lecture Hall 501 of the School of Economics and Trade. As a senior expert with 28 years of deep experience in Africa, he analyzed the historical opportunities and responsibilities for Chinese youth in Africa's development from three key dimensions: Africa's resource endowment, economic development trends, and the prospects of China-Africa cooperation, enriching his analysis with numerous firsthand practical cases. The report, substantial in content and insightful, sparked enthusiastic responses from the attending teachers and students. The interactive exchange session was lively, fully demonstrating the students' strong interest in broadening their international perspectives and engaging in China-Africa cooperation.

This university-enterprise exchange established a high-level platform for dialogue and cooperation, representing an important step by CAMCO Group to deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research and advance the cultivation of international talent. Both sides will continue to promote the sharing of resources and complementary advantages, actively explore new models and pathways for university-enterprise collaboration, and jointly inject new momentum into the high-quality development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
