NAIROBI, Kenya - August 13, 2025 - Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development, and Special Programs, Hon. Geoffrey Ruku, visited CAMCO-Kenya's Nairobi headquarters today, signaling the government's commitment to work closely with the private sector in driving agricultural mechanization, job creation, and foreign investment.

CS Ruku was accompanied by a delegation of senior government officials and was warmly received by CAMCO-Kenya's General Manager, Andy He, along with key company representatives including Nakuru Branch Manager Amos Wekesa, Mwea Branch Manager Frank Thuranira, and the sales team. Representatives from LOVOL Africa, a major tractor supplier, also attended to welcome the Cabinet Secretary.

The visit began with an in-depth meeting where Mr. He outlined CAMCO Group's mission to improve food security and generate employment across Africa, with a strong emphasis on Kenya. Through a multimedia presentation, the delegation saw how CAMCO's machinery—such as Lovol tractors—supports farmers in ploughing and harvesting maize and rice more efficiently. The presentation also featured value-addition equipment, including oil expellers, maize shellers, and rice mills, which are vital for boosting productivity among smallholder farmers.

CS Ruku highly commended CAMCO's contributions to Kenya's food security and employment, affirming the government's dedication to fostering a secure and supportive environment for both local and foreign investors. He encouraged CAMCO to collaborate with the Ministry of Education's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program to equip students with practical skills in machinery operation and maintenance.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of CAMCO's showroom, where CS Ruku test-drove a Lovol 110-horsepower tractor. He praised the tractor for its smooth handling, user-friendly controls, and ease of operation, noting that such machinery could be quickly mastered by farmers with minimal training. The Cabinet Secretary highlighted that the tractor's efficiency and reliability make it an ideal solution for boosting agricultural productivity across Kenya. He also inspected other key equipment, including WeiChai Silent generators and HangCha forklifts, before departing for his next official engagement.

CAMCO-Kenya thanks Hon. Geoffrey Ruku and the delegation for their visit. Together, we’re advancing agricultural mechanization to empower farmers, enhance food security, and build a modern agro-ecosystem through technology and partnerships.
